Handshapes Cathedral were formed in Northampton in 1988 by artist and film maker Barry Hale working with musician Tim Perkins (Ripzmag, Moon and Serpent Egyptian Theatre of Marvels, Finality Jack) - later featuring actor Rob Goodman and musician George Hardy. Barry Hale is currently working with Dave Kirby (Bruise, Satori, Mali Rain) as Duende - their first album Bethesda Requiem was released in 2013 on Bandcamp. Handshapes Cathedral focused on the spoken word as a potential source of aural sculpture, using distorted recordings, track layering and hand-manipulated tape to create sound collages. This INRI cassette was their only official release.
