Plässit on omistettu Martti Pokelalle, Pärre-Henkka P.H.Nordgrenille ja Kevätuhri ja kosinta postuumisti Erkki Ala-Könnille. 8 is dedicated to Martti Pokela, 9 to Pehr Henrik Nordgren and 7 posthumously to Erkki Ala-Könni. Sävelmät Lehmän tanssi, Rykälinnun laulu, Venäläisen itku ja Kyyhkyseni perustuvat lapinlahtelaisen Vilhelmiina Halosen 5-kielisen kanteleen perinnesävelmiin. Kalevalasävelmää on improvisaatio tunnetuimman kalevalamelodian ja Jouhikielisellä improvisaatio kirkonkellomelodioiden pohjalta. Plässit-sävelmän taustalla on aunuksenkarjalainen kantelesävelmä. 3, 10, 11 and 14 are traditional 5-string kantele tunes from the playing of Vilhelmiina Halonen from Lapinlahti. 12 is an improvisation based on the most famous Kalevala tune, 5 is an improvisation based on traditional kantele renditions of church bell melodies, and 8 is based on an Aunus Karelian kantele tune. ℗ & © 2000 Kansanmusiikki-instituutti Folk Music Institute Trifold Digipak
