Folk, Jazz and World
Hans Mortelmans & Groep is an acoustic quartet, formed in 2005 around the songwriter-guitarist Hans Mortelmans. The group was heavily influenced by the French chansonnier Georges Brassens (1921-1981) and the Belgian jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt (1910-1953). The quartet, however, quickly found a unique universe where humor, rebellion and melancholy shake hands.
