Norwegian musician and music teacher. Born 1912, died 1980. Father of Ola Solum. Among his students were Jens Harald Bratlie, Mons Leidvin Takle, Bjørn Boysen, Jon Laukvik, Per Arne Løvold, Ketil Haugsand, and Trond Viggo Torgersen. In 1956 hired as an organ player at Ullern Kirke, Oslo. Often performed together with Alf Sjøen.
