Single SE 1988 on Tönt Records label
Rock and Brass (Noise, Novelty, Punk, Avant-garde, Brass Band, Experimental)
This was the first officially released record by Hare Krishna Brass Band, and the only one which features the so-called "amoeba rock" sound. The instrumentation was ukulele, saucepan lids, cocoa tins and rubber band bass guitar. The song "The Krishna Rap" was the first indication of the bands eventual shift towards using synthesizers and samplers. The record was pressed in a limited edition of 500 copies. The sleeve comes in 10 different colours: pistachio green, yellow, pink, dark orange, light orange, blue, turquoise, brown, indigo & violette.
