Tenor saxophonist Harold Land 1928-2001, was born in Huston and grew up in San Diego California, for the greater part of his life he played Jazz. Originally released on Regent 1020, this laid back R&B jiver was popular with Jamaican dance goers in the early 1950s, and was only known as 'Coxsone Shuffle' being one of Clement Dodd's 'cover ups', hence the JA bootleg issue above.
