A.k.a. Harry Goldberg
British jazz (dixieland styles) saxophonist (baritone and tenor), clarinetist, oboist, arranger, composer, bandleader and vocalist. Born : February 26, 1907 in Dublin, Ireland. Died : November 13, 2005 in London, England. Harry played with : "Metronomes" (1926-'28), co-led in his own band with the guitarist Ivor Mairants later in a vocal trio called "The Cubs" (1932-1937), Roy Fox, forming a small band ("Pieces of Eight"), Geraldo (1943, for eight months), and in his own bands in 1950s, with the "Al Wynette' Band" (Seventies years) and reformed the "Pieces of Eight" (1980s and 1990s). He retired from playing in 1999.
