Pop and Jazz
A.k.a. Harry A. Yerkes
Marimba player, inventor and recording manager who assembled recording sessions between 1917 and 1924, where his name was often used for various dance bands. Many performances are considered an important link between ragtime and early "rudimentary" jazz. His recording career began in 1906 performing on the xylophone. In 1924 he founded his own record label, Yerkes Dance Records.
