Hartmut Enke

Musician of Rock and Electronic

Born 20th October 1952. School friend of Manuel Göttsching whom he started making music with in 1967. Along with Volker Ziball and Wolfgang Müller (2) they appeared on German TV as Steeple Chase Bluesband in 1970. After this short lived band had broken up, Enke and Göttsching met Klaus Schulze in Thomas Kessler's studio and formed Ash Ra Tempel. Enke remained a core member of Ash Ra Tempel until 1973 when he left and ended his musical career. According to his German Wikipedia entry he died on 27th December 2005.
