Formed in November 1972 by Pip Pyle, David Sinclair, Phil Miller and his brother Steve Miller (3), strictly confined to front-room appearances. Pianist Steve left after six weeks and was replaced by organist Dave's cousin Richard Sinclair. Dave stayed until January 1973, when he rejoined Caravan and was replaced by Dave Stewart. ORIGIN OF NAME - Inspirated by the first road sign on the M1 going North First Public Appearance - Lees Cliff Hall, Folkestone, November 1972 First Television - Paris, December 1972 with David Sinclair and Robert Wyatt
