Hayden Chisholm (born May 27, 1975 in Otahuhu, New Zealand) is a composer, producer, curator and multi-instrumentalist (saxophones, clarinets, bagpipes, shō and melodica among others). His work has touched a wide range of musical genres but he is best known for jazz, improvised and contemporary classical music. 1998 to 2001 he was composer in residence in San Diego. He travels worldwide for concerts, collaborations, studies and teaching, one of his homebases is Köln where he shared a living- and studio-space with Bernd Friedmann until the end of 2008.
