HaYehudim (Hebrew: היהודים) is an Israeli hard rock band founded in 1994 by vocalists/guitarists Orit Shachaf and Tom Petrover, who are now married. The name of the band is Hebrew for The Jews. They have one album certified double platinum and four certified gold in their native country. The group was named "Band of the Year" for 1999 by Galei Zahal radio. They have opened for both Metallica and Rage Against The Machine. Their 2007 album "Forte" won Album of the Year in the Israeli Music Channel awards. According to Petrover "Forte" was meant to give HaYehudim an even harder sound and is often referred to as metal rather than rock. The group performs songs in Hebrew, English or a mix of both languages.
