Headchange is a hard rock band from Columbus, Ohio. Established in February of 2004, Headchange is comprised of: Jonathan Ayala (vox/keys), Chris Martin (guitar/vox), Josh Sharp (bass/vox) and Brett Counts (drums). In a world where rock music has become extremely diluted, the diverse influences of its members have allowed Headchange to put their own spin on the genre. Most often labeled as a hard rock outfit, Headchange uses elements native to metal, hardcore & progressive throughout their compositions as well. Their intricate blend of catchy melodies, infectious harmonies, and precise instrumentation, reflects the exemplary musicianship of each individual. The intensity of their stage presence is another reason why this band has remained a top draw in their town. Success came early for Headchange in November, 2004, when they were crowned champions of a prestigious Battle of the Bands competition; in which they triumphed over 30 other local bands. After garnering tremendous fan support in Columbus and playing such notable venues as The Newport Music Hall, The Alrosa Villa, Little Brothers, Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, The Emerson Theater in Indianapolis, The Rock Nightclub in Minneapolis, and the Woodshock Festival, Headchange plans to continue the expansion of their fan base throughout the Midwest in 2007. With their most highly touted lineup to date, Headchange released their self-titled debut album on April 27, 2007, to a near-capacity crowd at CBR's in Columbus. Album sales from their live shows and the internet continue to climb, due to the tremendous response they have received from the disc.
