Second wife of German playwright Bertolt Brecht, appeared in many of his productions with The Berliner Ensemble. Also known as Helene Brecht-Weigel. She is the mother of Stefan Brecht and Barbara Berg and the grandmother of Johanna Schall. She was born 12 May 1900 in Vienna, Austria and died 6 May 1971 in Berlin, Germany.
