Hirsch is a longtime associate of Lenny Kravitz and runs recording studios: he had been involved in building Lenny Kravitz's Roxie Studios in Miami and Takeshi Kobayashi's studio in New York, and is operating his own Waterfront Studios, first located in Hoboken, New Jersey, then relocated to Hudson Valley, upstate New York in 2008.
