Herb Cohen

1932-2010 US

Born: 30th December 1932. Died: 16th March 2010. American manager and label operator, who first ran a 'folk-scene' coffee house in L.A., before bringing us the Mothers of Invention, Tom Waits and Tim Buckley. He co-owned the Straight, Bizarre Records & DiscReet record labels with Frank Zappa and launched his own Manifesto (2) in 1993. He managed Bob Dylan for a number of years. Cohen's wife appears on the sleeve of Bringing It All Back Home. His daughter Lisa also played a role as Suzy Creamcheese on "Absolutely Free".
