Incorporating the intimate chamber aesthetics of modern music between 1955 and 1959 with equally deliberate attitude of fringe music presently, the instrumentation ranges from trio to septet, and with calligraphic detail these nine pieces exist as a complete unit gracefully expressive and abandoning a consistent assemblage of sound. - Campbell Dakin, 2009.
