These young musicians were given the task of generating dialogue between his empirical musical knowledge Colombian Pacific they produced and sounds of the city that received them when they decided to leave their village embarked on the musical project that would change their lives. Herencia de Timbiquí makes clear that tradition is better when it enriches with other Latin music, rock, jazz or funk. This constant search to transcend their music led them to work on their new album with producer characters such as English producer William Holland AKA "Quantic" and the legendary singer and African guitarist Ebo Taylor. This fusion is present when they play their traditional marimba, the hype, the cununos and guasá and merge them with a powerful band, achieving an overall sound accompanied by a powerful live show, full of energy that permeates the public. Herencia de Timbiquí has been honored on several occasions, some of the most important were: Shock Colombian Music Awards, the most important festval folklore of Colombia called "Festival Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music" and the International Festival Vina Del Mar, Chile 2013, where they obtained Gaviota de Plata for Best Folk Performance with their song "Sunrise".
