Album AU 1965 on World Record Club label
Classical (Opera)
NB. The German spelling is erratic on the sleeve and labels - silently corrected here. Numeral use for Act numbers as on sleeve (sometimes "3", sometimes "III"...) Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. Mono and stereo versions have same number on back of sleeve (D/874) - the mono version has "D-874" on beige 'strobe' label, while the stereo has "SD-874" on green 'strobe' label. The stereo version has a printed "stereo" rosette on the back, and the mono has a red sticker with "mono" placed over this (though these tend to drop off with age). Issued as a 'dividend' release, offered at a low price (18 shillings, instead of the regular 37/6) for club members who had bought one LP or more in the previous 12 months. Issued again in November 1966 - possibly with new address combination. 393 Flinders Lane Melbourne 177 Elizabeth St Sydney Newspaper House, 93 Queen St Brisbane 60 Pulteney St Adelaide Barnett's Buildings Council Ave Perth
