Organist, born in Huntsville, Alabama. Studied at Dillard University, Boston University, Indiana University and in Paris, France with Maurice Durufle, Marie-Claire Alain, and Andre Marchal. Earned the Master's degree and Performer's certificate in 1968 and later the DMUS in 1975 from Indiana University. Awarded the Grand Prix du Disque in 1971 for the first complete recording of the complete organ works of Maurice Durufle. Coordinates the organ program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he holds the Herndon Spillman and Mattax Endowed Professorships in organ in the School of Music of the College of Music and Dramatic Arts.
