Single BE 2017 on Unday Records label
Rock (Alternative Rock)
RSD 2017 Split coloured white/red vinyl, hand numbered by the band. Limited to 250 copies. 'Ploegsteert' appeared on the eponymous album from 2012 and was Het Zesde Metaal’s breakthrough single. The song is an homage to the late Frank Vandenbroucke, cyclist and tragic hero – and has become a true classic. 'Ploegsteert' shook up Radio 1’s 2016 “100 op 1” chart to everyone’s surprise. The listeners of Belgian national radio station Radio 1 awarded it their all-time favourite Belgian song, before Jacques Brel’s evergreen ‘Ne Me Quitte Pas’ and ‘Mia’ by Gorki. The previously unreleased ‘Min Tempel’ on the flipside is a haunting cover of Bonnie "Prince" Billy’s ‘A King At Night’.
