Currently based in Gainesville, FL, the Hifi Envelope is an ongoing and amorphous project that began in 1996 in Orlando, FL by Brian C.F. Lee as a means to explore and combine atmospheric guitars, synthesizers, and found sound. Though having seen many iterations as a live group, the Hifi Envelope has primarily been a solo project over the duration of it's recorded output consisting of many cassette tape, cd-r, and digital releases. The musical output of this project is not defined by genre, but by style.
