Spanish composer and pedagogue, born in Burlada 1807 and died in Madrid 1878. He was co-founder of the society La España Musical with Emilio Arrieta, Francisco Asenjo Barbieri and Joaquín Gaztambide to defend and promote Spanish opera and zarzuela.
