Album US 1993 on Zontar Records label
Rock (Rockabilly, Indie Rock)
This CD is incredibly hard to find, but so worth having if you're a fan of that mid-80s to early-90s midatlantic sound by bands including Southern Culture on the Skids, the Smithereens, Don Dixon, etc. According to a conversation I had with Jeff Walls, "It was recorded for Zontar Records, which was the record label that the manager of Wuxtrey Records (a record store in Athens) started around '91. Unfortunately it was revealed that he was embezzling from Wuxtrey to fund the label and he had to leave town rather quickly, forcing the label to fold. There were only one or two thousand "Hypnotica" CDs produced (can't remember now)."
