A.k.a. Hiskias Möttö
Born as Hiskias Möttö on May 17, 1891 in Kangasniemi, Finland. A couplet singer and songwriter. Hiski Salomaa was born in Finland but after his mother died in 1909, he moved to the U.S. He made his living as a tailor, but he was also a popular performer among the Finnish immigrants. His recordings are an important part of Finnish recording history because they were released at a time when there were very few Finnish records released. Died on July 7, 1957 in New York, U.S.A.
