Band, *2001 US, Vermillion, South Dakota
Singer / Musician
hollander was formed in Vermillion, SD, in 2002 by Austin Kaus (vocals/guitar) and Eric TeSlaa (guitar). Bryon Middleton left Action Figure Army to join the band and was originally recruited to play drums. Andrew Robertson finalized the lineup as bass guitarist. The band released two EPS before Middleton was replaced on drums with Joel Rische. Middleton took over guitar duties from Kaus, cementing the band's lineup. They then released two studio albums and one three-song collection of previously unreleased material. The group became known throughout eastern South Dakota for wild, unpredictable performances and the band's acceptance of drinks sent to the stage by audience members. The group went on hiatus in 2008, reuniting once on December 17, 2011, for a show in Middleton's basement and again on Jun 9, 2018, to play a benefit for longtime friend Danny Yost (The Kickback, Sleepeater, Burly) to help with costs associated with Yost's recovery from a stroke. According to band members, there are currently no plans for future recordings or performances.
