Holly Martin, freelance photographer, artist, and land speed race car driver. As a woman land speed racer, accomplished equestrian rider and daughter of an award winning car builder and racer, Holly has been able to express through her photographs her passion in design and beautiful machines with the thrill of racing and high adrenaline speed. Holly specializes in automotive and mechanical photography as well as the unique culture of auto racing. The images she captures of classic automobiles, dragsters, hot rods, customs, and motorcycles are transformed into timeless works of art by her lens. Her distinctive images of land speed racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats and El Mirage dry lake are a reflection of her passion for innovative metalwork and the “artists” who build them. “For me, car building is a unique arena in which art and invention morph and combine into functional masterpieces. Ideas are transformed into moving machines expressly designed to push the limits of what is possible. Sometimes, they are fabricated just for Sunday drives. Sometimes, they break world land speed records. I admire the unusual souls that love hot rods, land racing, and brass era culture. I am proud to count myself a member of their community.
