Kenneth Palmer ("To the Holman - Climax Male Voice Choir, and all sons of Cornwall") Trelwany agg. Kenneth Palmer ("To the Cornish wherever they sing") The answer to a cornish patriot's dream - a record combining four of the most stirring songs to come from the homeland! All are arranged by Kenneth Palmear, who also wrote 'Hail To the Homeland'. 'Going' Up Camborne Hill', The natural signature tune of Holman-Climax Choir, was inspired by Richard Trevithick's famous experiment with a steam carriage in 1801, hence the picture of his statue on the cover. The Holman-Climax Choir maintains its position as Cornwall's 'champion' choir, having won the open male voice championships at St. Austell in 1981, and been awarded first place in the equal voices class of the B.B.C's. 1981 "Let The People Sing" competition. We hope that wherever you are listening to it, this record will evoke for you the true spirit of Cornish Male Voice Singing. Chris Blount Recorded at Redruth Methodist Church by W.
