Toronto heavy psych stoner rock band Holy Mount captures the prodding power of earth-esque drone bands with layers of languid psych fuzz washing over sludge rock bones. Vocals like ghosts, thin and distorted, slide over slow motion psych-scapes, spirits from another place. Waves of distorted bass create organic artifacts. Like they are playing from the bottom of lake Ontario, Holy Mount turns the smallest resonation into the most colossal sound. You feel the weigh of ever note magnified, the landslide effect.
