The book contains contemporary occitan songs written by Hombeline and written in a decorative hand by Délia Vlad with drawings by Maximilien Gilhodes. "I wrote these short Occitan poems in the spirit of the Japonese Haïkus; in this concert I will sing them as if is was Indian Mantras. My wish is to bring particular attention to self-awarness. The simplicity of haïkus impulse its poetic expression. The aim of the mantra is to quieten the mind. During this performance , you are invited to join in with a meditative attitude that will link your consciousness to your inner self. "The silken door" is a light vail similar to the butterfly's wing; the precious cloth of the present caresses us as we pass by and it opens for us the door of the Self." Hombeline
