The songs were written together, materialized in the rehearsal room, changed and matured with time, and were completed as a band. Seit 2012 spielten HONIG über 300 Konzerte, tourten in Europa, China und den USA, spielten unter anderem auf dem Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen und erreichten im Intro Magazin 2012 mit ihrem Song „For Those Lost At Sea“ als Since 2012 HONIG have played over 300 shows and toured through Europe, China and the USA. Among other things they played the Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen and reached, as best German band with the song "For those lost at Sea", 9th place in the “Intro” magazine Song of the Year chart! Work on the new album began in summer 2013 On the 22 August 2014 HONIG will release their third album "It's Not A Hummingbird, It's Your Father's Ghost" in Europe through Haldern Pop Recordings / Rough Trade. "It's Not A Hummingbird, It's Your Father's Ghost" is not a typical songwriter album. The result is a complex and sophisticated achievement, forceful and sensitive at the same time. HONIG have flourished, and by combining clever arrangements with sticky melodies create a sound that works. Now they play folk-pop for the bigger stages, and fear neither grandiosity nor sensitivity.
