This band is fantastic. Live, they have amazing energy, and there are a few live tracks on this album where this shows through. In studio, they're no less fantastic. The lead singer, Dana, has the savviest, sweetest sounding voice; you feel like you're being transported back 60 years listening to her. Foot-stomping music; in Minneapolis, where they're from, they have an absolutely devoted following of era-garbed swing dancers that really can strut their stuff. The Hot Heads are an up and coming swing band from Minnesota...they play killer swing with a touch of western flavor. All the tracks are strong and vary in length and tempo so there's never a dull moment. Strong instrumentation and excellent vocals make this sucker Really swing!
