Born 18th August 1935 in Rotorua, New Zealand. Died 24th September 2009 in Ohinemutu, New Zealand. His musical career started with the Howard Morrison Quartet in 1956. By 1960 they were a household name, and from this Morrison created himself a long and distinguished career as a vocalist, mainly in the cabaret circuit. He was knighted in 1990.
