Album US 1972 on Prestige Productions Records label
World (Gospel)
From the back of the jacket IN HIS GREEN PASTURES This album is dedicated to the Lord. However, the faithfulness and dedication of my wife and family made possible not only the album but eleven happy years in the Pastorate. I thank God for this. The title song, "In His Green Pastures", was written by Howard Thompson in October of 1972. The other hymns are all much older and have blessed thousands for years. For example, the song, "We Shall Reach Home" was sung by Brother Thompson parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Thompson, Parrish, Alabama, prior to their marriage back in the 1903's. Whatever their origin or use, our prayer is that each hymn will be a blessing to you and will draw you closer to HIM who loved us while we were yet sinners. TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
