Compil. US 1989 on Rounder Records label
Blues (Electric Blues, Memphis Blues)
Track 1 recorded on January 23, 1952. Tracks 2, 6, 7, 10 & 11 probably recorded on April 17, 1952. Tracks 3-5 recorded on July 19, 1952. Several of the original Sun tapes from which these transfers were made have deteriorated over the years, resulting in minor analog dropouts on "Oh Red" and other cuts. These dropouts do not indicate a defect in the disc or your playback system. Tracks 3, 4, and 8 were previously unissued. Tracks 1, 2, 5, 7, and 9-12 were previously unissued in North America. Track 6 was first issued on Blue Night Records.
