The performance of four compositions here were recorded at RCA studio in Tokyo, prior to "Yamamoto Hozan Shakuhachi Recital of Ryohei Hirose's Works" held at Tokyo Toshi-Center on Nov. 7, 1973. At the recital, the compositions were performed in order of Aki, Sai, Kakurin, and Vivarta. The recital won commendation of the 1973 prize of Excellence at the National Art Festival.
