Indian music composer and singer, born on 26 October 1937. He received his training in music from the legendary vocalist Ustad Amir Khan. Brother of the famous singers Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Khadikar. He has received a number of prestigious awards like the Tansen Award or Maharashtra State Award. In 2009 he was awarded the Padma Shri.
