Both tracks by Hubert S. Howe, Jr. are movements of longer works: "Third Study In Timbre" is the third movement of "Three Studies In Timbre", composed between 1970 and 1974. "Canons 4" is the fourth movement of "Canons", composed in 1974. Noah Creshevsky's "Great Performances" was commissioned by and is dedicated to Paul Shelden and recorded with permission of the copyright owner: Tetra Music Corporation, New York. "Broadcast" is a tape collage consisting of three movements without a pause. The third movement features sounds from "Quintet In G Minor, Opus 56, Number 2" by Franz Danzi.
