A.k.a. Huey Purvis Meaux
American music producer and recording studio owner, nicknamed "The Crazy Cajun", born 10 March 1929 in Wright, Louisiana; died 23 March 2011 in Winnie, Texas. His family moved to Winnie, Texas when he was 12. Meaux made most of his career in Houston, Texas, where he worked at the Gold Star Recording Studio in the 1960s. In 1972 he took over the studio and renamed it to Sugar Hill Studios. He sold the studio in 1986 but kept an office there. In 1996, police raided Meaux's office and found evidence of child pornography and Polaroids of sex with underage girls. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a teenage girl and other charges. He was released in 2007. Son of Pappy 'Te Tan' Meaux.
