Hugh McDonald (born 17 July 1954, Cowell, South Australia, Australia – died 18 November 2016) was an Australian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer, songwriter and educator. He joined the band Redgum in 1981 and when lead singer John Schumann left in 1986, he took over the role of lead singer until the group disbanded in 1990. He also owned Hugh McDonald Studios.
