Band,
Rock and Pop
The Norwegian band HULDRA returns with a new CD titled ‘I syndens slor’, which musically is not that much different from their earlier recordings. OK, it is not as classic aor based as the band’s forerunner HEAVEN, the band that released a fantastic record many years ago, but still HULDRA is bringing a nice mix of westcoast, aor and melodic rock. The band sings in their own language, which might sound strange, but then again Spanish AOR is also appreciated, so why not songs sung in Norwegian. 11 short tracks are included, and song 2 marks the highlight of this CD, because that particular song (“Du gar”) is a fantastic AOR rocker. The rest of the CD is a mix of Westcoast orientated material (“Skyt hal pa ledningen” – which is not that far away from SPIN GALERRY), Melodic Rock (such as the very good “Den du e” and “Fine mennesker”) and AOR ballads (“Her star eg”, “Kom te ditt vindu” and “Koss kan det ha seg”). Definitely a great album, nice to check out if you’re an AOR fan!
