A.k.a. Iñaki Irazu Garmendia

Writer in Basque and teacher of this language, born in Asteasu (Gipuzkoa) on July 17, 1954. He studied Economics in the ESTE center of San Sebastián, dependent of the University of Deusto. He has lived in Bilbao since 1985 and is dedicated to teaching Basque to adults. He won the Villa de Bilbao prize and has written many poems, some of which have become lyrics. It was the singer Jabier Muguruza who has used the texts of this poet, who is the brother of José Irazu "Bernardo Atxaga".
