Band, *1963
Rock and Pop
A.k.a. Remo Germani E Il Suo Complesso
Rock & Roll band from Italy, very famous during the 60's. I Rangers (The Rangers) were born in 1963 and originally called Rockers, later in 1964 the name was changed to I Rangers at the suggestion of Mark Menna (bassist) to stand out from the boys of Peppino di Capri (Varano - saxophone, Pino - bass, Bebè - drums and Mario - guitar), dear friends of I Rangers, with whom they would not dispute the Rockers . The original line-up since 1963/64: Marco Menna - bass Fausto Toppi - hammond organ Luciano Bellini -drums Franco Piacibello - saxophone The first replacement in 1964 / 65 have involved the drums, first passed to Angelo Piccarreta (formerly Marino Marini Band) and Paolo Taddia (former Little Tony Band), Hammond organ went to Sandro Lovotti (now monaco buddhist). 1965, was perhaps the most brilliant year for I Rangers with large numbers of sales and an unforgettable tour in the U.S. during which they played on the same stage at Maple Leaf Garden, where the Beatles had performed a few days before. All works fine until 1967, when with an inevitable drop in popularity due to the way record companies and management choices, I Rangers was disbanded.
