Duality/Detroit is a weekly residency held by Ian Fink since January of 2016, which takes place every Wednesday at Motor City Wine in Detroit. It is based around Ian Fink (on keys and synthbass) performing duo with a drummer. Sets are improvised, and frequently include a variety of covers and guest performers. Sitting in on congas is legendary Detroit producer and DJ Dez Andrés. This is the first collection of recordings documenting Duality/Detroit. released December 5, 2018 Ian Fink — keyboards, synth bass Marquis Johnson — drums Dez Andrés — congas Salar Ansari — assorted percussion Track 1 is a cover of "Step Pattern" by Andrés.
