Danish jazzmusician and big band leader, b. 1934. After graduating on trumpet from conservatory, he started his own band in 1956 and became notorious for pioneering rock'n'roll in Denmark. From 1958 leader of the house big band at the illegal commercial Radio Merkur. After a lang period out of spotlight, Ib Glindemann in 1994 had a comeback with a new big band and an concerts and an album featuring danish contemporary danish pop and rock artists like Dicte and Jimmy Jørgensenon vocals. Ib Glindemann is still active touring.
