Ilan ROGOFF; Israeli concert pianist and conductor; b. July 26, 1943 in Tel-Aviv Israel. He was educated at the Israel Academy of Music, at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels, at the Mannes College and at the Juilliard School in New York. He made his debut in 1965 and has played all over Israel, Europe, N. America, Latin America, South Africa, Japan and Far East with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and many other orchestras. He plays mostly works by Romantic composers including Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, César Franck, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Piazolla. He has performed 20th century and contemporary works including world premiere of concerti by John McGabe and by Ivan Erod. Conducting debut in 1985. With Israel Philharmonic in 1988, Music and Artistic Director Socedad Filarmónica de Mallorca 1992-93. Trustee Tel Aviv Museum. Ilan Rogoff Foundation, Colombia to provide medical care to children of poor families.
