Ilan Virtzberg (born September 12, 1951, in Rehovot) is an Israeli composer, arranger, producer, guitarist and singer. He grew up in Be'er Sheva where, at the age of 14, he was playing electric guitar and was half of a duo with Yakov Ravitz. After completing his military service he moved to Tel Aviv and studied at the Rubin Academy of Music. His career began in the late 1970s and he remains active today. His debut album, a collaboration with Shimon Gelbetz called A Good Vintage (בציר טוב) was released in 1982. The Israeli daily newspaper Yediot Ahronot ranked in 18th in their list of the 100 Best Israeli Albums in 2005.
