Track A6: Gott is Tot translated by Sylvia Fürst This cover [The painting of "Mother Durga riding on her tiger carrier offers prayers to Lord Vishnu" by Madame Koslovsky (probably)] was banned at the time due to legal reasons, according to the singer in an interview: "I bought a book from some Hare-Krishna dude when I was still living in Oulu, back in 1992. At the end of the book there was translations Finnish-Sanskrit-Finnish. So decided to use that for something different. On the same book there was the original cover picture. We tried to get in touch with these people in order to get permit to use it but obviously there was wrong address. We decided to use it anyway (remember that we were young and naive about how business works in this world). Years later, in France, some metalhead saw "light" and turned into a Hare-Krishna. He kindly informed his new masters that evil band and evil record label have disgraced their dearly loved painting. So we and Osmose got sued. Originally they wanted $100.000USD. Pretty good from religion that does not believe in earthly belongings. So Osmose got a lawyer and she managed to negotiate with them. It was settled outside court but yes, we paid. Too much. Interestingly enough, also Finnish record label Spinefarm got sued for illegal use of the painting from one of their books. Thanks to the fact the CD was esoteric music, Spinefarm paid only 5% compared to us. You know, evil shit music = more money." Mika dedicates this lp to Claudia D.M. Impaled Nazarene supports nuclear energy and the destruction of the environment. K.F.S. is the only law, assholes !!!
