Inga Grytås Byrkjeland has a Masters degree from The Norwegian Academy of Music where she studies with Truls Mørk, among others. She works as a freelance cellist in orchestras, as a soloist and chamber musician. She has had numerous positions as first cellist in a number of Norwegian orchestras. In addition to this she performs regularly with The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and a number of baroque orchestras in Oslo.
