Steel Band group formed in the early 1940s in Trinidad led by Ellie Mannette. First took to the road on V-J Day celebrations 1945. They were sponsored by Shell during the 1960s and are currently (2017) sponsored by Caribbean Airlines. Not to be confused with other Invaders Steelband groups from St. Croix, Virgin Islands or The Netherlands.
